dwh Employees Reach Finals of AI Hackathon with Expertise from ViSciPub

The Talent Garden Vienna in the Liechtensteinstraße in the 9th district of Vienna was the stage for the Digital Metals AI Hackathon on the 16th and 17th January. It was organized - very well - by Pioneers.io, a consulting team that builds business relationships between tech innovators. Two global players in the metal industry, namely voestalpine AG and Primetals Technologies Ltd (a joint venture of Siemens, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and others), invited selected European teams with great Artificial Intelligence skills to work on one of four use cases and present their results in pitches after a little bit less than 36 hours.

Being among the best 17 out of a total of 156 shortlisted teams, dwh GmbH had qualified for participating in the hackathon, where Michael Landsiedl, Dominik Brunmeir and Matthias Wastian not only demonstrated highly interesting solutions and concepts for an intelligent information crawler, but also got in touch with several new potential international partners.
